She Jumped Today

August 26, 2007 / by luckystar

This is a very sad day......If you have not done so, read my recent blog posting, Suicide Jumper as it tells about how I came to know this woman.
She came back to my complex this morning, went to the other side of the twelfth floor and while the same police tried to once again talk her down she made a phone call to her mother, and boyfriend, then jumped to her death.
I have thought of that poor soul often over the past few days. Thinking I would never see or hear of her again, but still hoping she would stop by one day to tell me she was doing o.k. .. I wish that had been the case......I am very sad today my friends....and angry that the Mental Health Agency allowed her to leave the hospital so soon after such a serious suicide attempt.
This is a very, very, sad day.

I understand and I am sorry you are feeling so traumatized by this. She is now at peace and free, and I am sure very happy, something she did not feel here on Earth. This life on Earth is not "The" life nor is it the only life of a soul. It is merely a stepping stone into eternity. She is ever grateful for your kindness and compassion for others, for her. Hell is right here on Earth and she simply wanted out of Hell. Take the time to heal but know that she is now very much at peace because she is free from the emotional trauma that tortured her every waking moment while she was here on Earth. She just wanted to be freed from that pain. [HEART][HEART][HEART]

On a earthly side note, that boyfriend could use a sledgehammer upside the head.

I believe the same, and I hope her soul rests for a long time before making the journey again. I do not feel traumatized, just sad. Sad for all she endured, sad for her children and family, sad that it just doesn't have to all be like this. [HEART]

Then the most beautiful thing of it all is that during her final moments you gave her everything she was missing and that opened the door to her peace. I think that is why she found you.

No, you are right, it doesn't have to be like this but as long as the majority cares little for those in need regardless of what that need it, we will continue to have situations that simply do not make sense to those of us who do care.

Light a candle for her and then I hope you feel better. [HEART][SMILE][HEART]

As one of the officers put it. It is not hard for people to convince the doctors they will not try it again so they can be released. There needs to be a longer mandatory hold for suicidal individuals.

My friend Abner was special to me an educated man from India. He was a drunkard who had begun in the military. He had served in the 1967 War his rifle never loaded.
Abner invited me for a drink and told me about his visit with the Angel of Death. The spirit told him his next drink would be his last.
Later, he collapsed and the ambulance took him to the life support section.
In the morning Catidogi told me he had died at the kiosk. Somebody had bought him a vodka.

You did what you could "Lore", and for sure, the mental health agency was wrong to let her leave. Very sad news indeed. Take care, Gary [HEART]

I'm an old lady and I realized a long time ago that sometimes you have to stay alive for the sake of other people--no matter how much you want to leave life. She is out of her pain--but all those she left behind will suffer the rest of their lives. It is the ultimate selfish act.

    I'm sorry about this! [SAD]

We need to pray for her soul to be released from torment ... so she and her family may experience peace.
